Janice Russillo established her eponymous Interior Design practice in Lake Forest, Illinois in 1980, and quickly distinguished herself in the Chicago metropolitan area. Her practice expanded as she followed clients across the country, and her firm created a wide variety of residential and commercial projects.
During the span of her career, Janice contributed to the development of the field of Interior Design through extensive volunteer work. Her many charitable credits include the annual ASID North Shore ORT Show Houses, the Lake Forest Infant Welfare Society Show Houses, and numerous Architectural Tours and Arts Council projects. The Firm’s popular work has been widely published.
Janice served two years as President of the Chicago Chapter of the Interior Design Society, and held leadership positions on the national board. She helped spearhead a coalition of design affiliates to successfully petition the State of Illinois for professional recognition of the practice of Interior Design, one of the first such acts in the nation.
Janice is known as much for her practicality as her creativity and warmth. Janice’s designs reflect her interest in history, art, architecture, and nature, and evidence her finely honed skill balancing energy, color, and light within a space. Thoughtfully detailed, client driven designs deliver timeless sophistication with style, comfort and function.
Janice holds a B.A. from Lake Forest College with a concentration in Urban Planning and Architectural Design. She earned a Master’s degree in Transpersonal Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, and subsequently completed five years of Doctoral study in Subtle Energy and the Psychology of Personal Transformational.
Janice’s innate talent and unique education merge to create physically, emotionally, and spiritually supportive environments. Grounded by her therapeutic listening skills, finely tuned intuition, and experience as a Life Coach, Janice is able to minimize the stress and drama often associated with renovation and design projects, making the experience uncommonly pleasant. Janice’s goal is happy clients who enjoy the process of turning a house into their unique HOME.
Daniel holds a B.A. in Fine Arts with a minor in Technical Theater from St. Lawrence University. He is a talented Potter and Sculptor whose innate creativity was nurtured and encouraged from childhood.
Growing up as the son of an Interior Designer exposed Daniel to the world of color, line, form and function from an early age. His summer stints in Design Showrooms further honed his sensibility.
Daniel loves Landscape Design, Art, and Architecture, and his passion is Renovation. He loves looking at older, unfashionable houses, and imagining them through a modern aesthetic: updated, functionally improved, and ready for another generation of happy owners.
Daniel works in constant synergy with contractors, landscapers, and vendors to ensure timely completion of our projects and total satisfaction for our clients. Outside of the office, Daniel enjoys music, art, travel, playing guitar and a good round of golf.
